Methandienone is an anabolic androgenic Steroid, which is similar in structure to the male sex hormone testosterone. Thus, it causes faster regeneration in the body, a strong increase in body strength and accelerated muscle growth. Due to these effects, the active ingredient Methandienone is of interest in the bodybuilding scene as well as in weight training. Just like Methenolone Acetate, Methyltestosterone, Oxandrolone (Anavar), Oxymetholone, Stanozolol Tablets or Testosterone Undecanoate (Andriol), it belongs, unlike the injectable steroids, to the active substances that can be taken orally in tablet form.

Methandienone (Dianabol): What is it?
The active ingredient Methandienone has a strong anabolic as well as an androgenic effect – like any AAS (anabolic androgenic steroid). It is one of the steroids that enjoys great popularity and is often one of the first substances that interested athletes come into contact with. Dianabol is sometimes referred to as the “Breakfast of the Champions”, reflecting its importance in weight training. In the field of building strength and muscle, it is one of the most powerful and effective oral steroids.
Metandienone (Dianabol): What can the oral steroid do?
In addition to the many benefits, the active ingredient Methandienone also has numerous side effects that cannot be ignored. The substance, like any other steroid, strongly interferes with the hormonal balance of the body and should accordingly always be handled professionally and responsibly. The health and well-being of the athlete always have the highest priority here and should accordingly always be closely monitored.
Effect Methandienone (Dianabol)
Regardless of the convenient intake of the preparation in tablet form (unlike many other steroids that have to be injected via a needle), the active ingredient Metandienon also has a variety of intensive effects on the body of the consuming athlete. For example, Dianabol reduces the body’s production of cortisol, resulting in significantly less muscle breakdown. In addition to this anti-catabolic property, the active ingredient stimulates the growth factors for muscle cells and thus ensures a targeted build-up of body weight in the form of muscle.

Side effects Methandienone (Dianabol)
Methandienone oral tablets can put a strain on the athlete’s digestive system and should not be taken on an empty stomach. This is where poor liver values and even serious liver damage can occur. Also, when broken down in the body, the active ingredient converts to a potent estrogen, causing side effects such as fat storage, increased blood pressure and water retention, and in men, swelling of the breasts (gynecomastia) is possible. Unfortunately, there is no inhibitory antidote at this point that can mitigate this risk. Androgenic side effects such as acne, increased aggression potential, and loss of scalp hair with simultaneous growth of body hair are also possible.
In women, consumption of Methandienone can lead to the appearance of male sexual characteristics, which is why female athletes, bodybuilders, and strength athletes are generally advised against taking it. In men, the intake suppresses the body’s own testosterone production, which should definitely be stimulated and normalized again following a course of treatment.
Methandienone (Dianabol) Application and intake
The amount to be taken always depends on the body weight and goals of the respective athlete and should be adjusted individually. Also, Methandienone is usually only administered in combination with other active ingredients such as testosterone or other injectable steroids, which influences the respective amount. For beginners, the amount taken is usually around 10 to 15 mg over one to one and a half months. Advanced athletes should be guided by an upper limit of 45 mg of Methandienone.

Methandienone (Dianabol) legal in Germany?
Attention: We are not allowed and cannot make any legally binding statements, but we want to show you the legal situation as known to us (as of December 2021) in the following. Please always inform yourself about the respective legal situation in your country before buying and consuming anabolic steroids.
Anabolic steroids have been banned since 1974, after a detection method was developed. Controlled was then in 1976, at the Olympic Games in Montreal, for the first time.
Synthetically produced anabolic steroids, which contain the body’s own steroid hormone testosterone, have been banned since 1984 – including anabolic androgenic steroids. Detection in doping tests is still not easy today.
In Germany, it is prohibited to manufacture, trade in, sell or dispense anabolic steroids such as anabolic steroids in accordance with Section 2 (1) of the Anti-Doping Act (AntiDopG). Anabolic steroids also fall under ยง6a of the German Medicines Act (AMG) and are therefore only available on prescription.
In some cases there are exceptions for “small quantities”. What is already considered a “not small quantity” is regulated in the DmMV https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/dmmv_2023/BJNR0430B0023.html. If the limits specified here – for Metandienone the value is 100 mg – are reached or exceeded, the possession, purchase and import of the anabolic steroids is punishable.
The possession or acquisition of doping substances such as anabolic steroids is therefore only permitted in small quantities if they are not used for doping purposes, meaning for performance enhancement in sports. If, for example, you possess anabolic steroids for medical or non-sporting personal reasons, you are not liable to prosecution. You should not use anabolic steroids for sporting purposes – especially in competitions.
Anabolic steroids are not for you? There are other anabolic steroids (even legal ones) like SARMs (selective androgen receptor modulators), Prohormones etc. that also have a strong anabolic effect but often have much less side effects.
